More about Dr. Fischer
Dr. Conrad Fischer is an infectious diseases specialist, a prolific teacher of medicine, and an influential medical advocate. He was formerly the Associate Chief of Medicine for Educational and Academic Activities at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine and has held Residency Program Director positions at both Maimonides Medical Center and Flushing Hospital in New York City.
In addition to his Residency and Medical School roles, Dr. Fischer is a leader in medical education as both a lecturer and author. He has authored over ten books on medical education, as well as study materials for students, residents and attendings in both board certification and recertification. He teaches both in live lectures and as multimedia study resources.
Dr. Fischer speaks regularly on medical education as a part of Grand Rounds, faculty development and both student and "resident as teacher" educational programs. He is most known for his ability to inspire and encourage the medical community to be passionate about the art of medical practice and learning.
